Becoming a Professional Mediator
Date: February 23, 2009

Mediation Internships
Dates: January-June, 2009 and July-December, 2009. (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
Description: Fast-Track to Professional Mediator status. Receive live mediation experience with advanced training and mentoring in 40 completed court-ordered small claims mediations in condensed time. Graduated training format with a trained, experienced, highly skilled mediation professional. Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday scheduled around your availability over the course of eight months maximum. Successful graduates may be invited to remain in program as a panel mediator with a small stipend as compensation.

Location: Douglas Combined Courts or Arapahoe County Court/Littleton
Application Requirements: Proof of successful completion of 40-hour Basic Mediation Training, and regular availability of daytime hours on selected days for up to seven months. Preliminary interview involving skills demonstration may be required. Space limited to two interns each semester.
